I took on duties for the launch of this new feature after the elections were over. We split the country into nine regions (well, seven plus Hawaii and Alaska). Every regional section has an interactive map (Virtual Earth), and topic widgets, programmed to link to stories. I managed the work of in-house writers as well as third-party sources such as Time, Inc. (Southern Living, Coastal Living, Sunset), Associated Content, and Getty Images. It was a big project -- 500+ story pages.

Never the less, swine flu was the story of the day, the only thing anyone is talking about, in part because the illness will likely spread.
On an average day, as lead editor on the presidential race, I'd edit and post about a half-dozen story packages about the campaign. To those we would add audience polls, quizzes and more. And over the course of the campaign we developed about dozen Flash-based interactive features, for which I served as the reporter and content editor. Here are some screen shots of a few.
More than a year after I took on editing Internet Broadcasting's 2008 national presidential race coverage, I posted my final final edit on election night.
