Journalism: At Internet Broadcasting in St. Paul, Minn., Hart edited the morning national news seen on the front pages of more than 60 television news Web sites across the U.S., and was lead editor for coverage of the 2008 presidential race. Hart has freelanced for a variety of online publications, including City Pages in Minneapolis and Westword in Denver, and he was a photojournalist on the Texas-Mexico border, covering globalization and immigration for freelance clients including The Associated Press and The New York Times.

Business: At MedicaLogic (now part of GE Medical Systems) in San Francisco, Hart produced the launch of the first Web site to host digital medical records, played key role in growing the company's physician user base to 250,000 from 6,000, and managed the Web site through the company's IPO and eventual merger with Medscape (now part of WebMD). Hart also produced Web site marketing content for the re-branding of Boston-based PatientKeeper's PDA-based medical record management software.

Advocacy: Hart worked with public health professionals, lobbyists, scientists and social marketers to lead editorial development for Colorado Tobacco Control Partners' interactive tutorials used by public health workers in tobacco cessation. He also produced the Web site for Humane Borders, a faith-based humanitarian organization in Arizona that maintains emergency water stations along the U.S.-Mexico border to prevent deaths among migrants.

Personal: Born In New York, Hart grew up in the U.K. and attended the Gordonstoun School in Scotland before returning to the United States to earn a B.A. in political science from the University of Vermont.
